Who we are

Built by students, backed by industry

Since 2016, TUM Business Game has been Munich's largest student-run case competition. Companies bring a real problem, multidisciplinary student teams work it for two and a half days, and the best solutions go back to the people who own the problem.

How it works

From a real problem to a real outcome

We bring together real problems and multidisciplinary talent, and turn the results into research, products, ventures and better decisions.

  1. 01

    Real-world problems

Companies, research institutions and the public sector bring questions they actually need answered.

  2. 02

    Multidisciplinary talent

Students from engineering, business, computer science and the sciences form teams around each problem.

  3. 03

    Solutions

Research insights, strategies, prototypes and concepts, presented to the people who own the problem.

  4. 04

    Lasting impact

Stronger companies, sharper research, and students who have solved something real before they graduate.

    Crack the Interview

Priscilla Rodrigues, a recruiter at Canadian Solar, takes the hiring process apart from the employer’s side: what recruiters actually look for, how to hold your nerve in a high-stakes interview, and how to turn your own experience into a story that lands.

    Behind the Scenes at Lio

    June 17th, 2026 · Lio Office

Lio (formerly askLio) set a challenge at TUM Business Game 2026, so the team went behind the scenes to see how they run it. Magdalena Sternecker and Lia Hofmann walked us through their approach to B2B sales and pitching: how a technical product becomes a pitch anyone can follow, what it takes to build a culture that stops to celebrate a win, and how to hold momentum through a modern sales cycle.
